I saw the season premiere for Journeyman and I liked it. Also saw Chuck, which was real good. I believe it's gonna be on Mondays at 8 pm before Heroes.

Yeah Chuck did look good to me also. I may have to record that as well. I thought Journeyman didn't start for another week yet?

Just a note: Friday Night Lights is being moved to Fridays at 9. I'll record that as well as Ghost Whisperer on friday which gives me 2 awesome shows to see on Sat morning.
I'm also gonna check out Gossip Girl (OC like teeny program) and maybe Moonlight (vampire type thing). I may also give Caveman and Nashville a chance.

Currently on: - Anthony Bourdain No Reservations: One of the best travel/food shows. Ever. - Breaking Bad: New AMC show about chem teacher cooking meth. Not bad. - Friday Night Lights: Season 2 put more emphasis on soap opera. - House: Season 4 really freshened up what was becoming a tired formula. - One Tree Hill: The ongoing saga of teens turned adults. Quite soapy. - Prison Break: Season 3 improved from season 2, but still not season 1-level. - Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles: Better than expected.
Going to air soon:
On hiatus (due to regular break or WGA strike): - 30 Days: Can be a thought-provoking documentary depending on topic. - 30 Rock: Improved from season 1 but not as strong as critics say. - Aliens in America: Decent comedy that could use more continuity/silliness. - The Amazing Race: One of my fav reality shows. Quality depends on cast. - Battlestar Galactica: Would benefit from cutting the filler, but still superb. - Burn Notice: Solid summer show. Not must-see but a nice distraction. - Californication: A solid performance by Duchovney. - Chuck: Covers multiple genres in one...action, comedy, sci-fi, romance, etc. - Curb Your Enthusiasm: Can be very funny, assuming you tolerate David. - CSI: The Vegas original is the only crime procedural I'll watch. - Damages: The only show to make me care about legal dramas. Very good. - Dexter: Season 2 improved an already good show. Good acting by Hall. - Dirt: Probably the worst FX original show, with sometimes outright badness. - Dirty Sexy Money: Show with potential now caught up in unneeded soap. - Entourage: One of my fav shows, although season 4 was weaker. - Flight of the Conchords: Catchy folk songs and awkward moments. Good. - Gossip Girl: Like the OC, not your typical teen soap. - Greek: While not realistic in capturing college life, can be addicting. - Heroes: Several missteps occurred in season 2, but I still am interested. - How I Met Your Mother: One of the best traditional sitcoms. - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Sometimes tries too hard but decent. - Jericho: Post-apocalypse show could benefit from more threats. - Kitchen Nightmares: The American version could learn from the UK original. - Life: Interesting premise could use stronger supporting cast and focus. - Lost: I've been critical of seasons 2-3, but honestly season 4 looks awesome. - Mad Men: Pretty much everything going for it to make it a critical darling. - Moonlight: It's no Angel, but better than I expected. Grows on you. - Murder: Interesting reality/forensic show that was hurt by late-night timeslot. - Nip/Tuck: At times a very uneven show with lame twists. Sometimes not. - The Office: This show should really stick with the half-hour format. - Pushing Daisies: Clever concept and quirky sensibility makes it stand out. - Reaper: Decent show that's unfortunately getting stale. - Rescue Me: Season 4 went nowhere. The boys' shtick can become tiring. - The Riches: Good leads, but where it was when it ended could be better. - Rules of Engagement: Pales in comparison to How I Met Your Mother. - Robot Chicken: Mixed bag comedy show done with toys. - Scrubs: One time clever comedy now suffering bad been-there, done-that. - The Shield: 2008 will mark the end of this intense, gripping cop drama. - The Simpsons: Long thought to be past its prime, the show still has moments. - South Park: Whether about politics or video games, a highly topical comedy. - Venture Bros: The last aired episode was 2006...hope it returns soon. - Weeds: Likable characters (for the most part) and some good fun. - Who Wants to Be a Superhero?: Campy. Contrived. Fun.

Breaking Bad: New AMC show about chem teacher cooking meth. Not bad.
I TIVO'd this but haven't gotten around to watching it yet..
They are going to air Season 1 on CBS with an alternate audio track. This is one of my favorite shows.
I hated the premiere of this show like no other. My wife still watches it though.
Where is "The Wire"? That's the best sh*t on TV right now. Hands down.

I'm planning on renting all of the Wire and marathoning it. It was one of those shows like Rome that I never got around to watching (I know the Wire is still on now, but it's in its last season). Same applies for Showtime's the Tudors and Brotherhood.
As for Dirty Sexy Money, yes, the premiere was rather lackluster. I'm not saying it got amazingly better, but for a little bit better there in the first few episodes. I wish this show was more like Royal Tenenbaums or Arrested Development (if they wanted a comedic approach).
For some reason, I forgot to add these shows:
- Family Guy: Past its prime for sure...and even in its prime, it was overrated. - Top Chef: A fantastic reality program that, while with drama, showcases skill.
And I did not include British shows, but for those interested:
- The F Word: Gordon Ramsay vehicle that addresses his approach to food. - Peep Show: Odd couple comedy that goes beyond It's Always Sunny. - Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares: Like the US version, but superior throughout. - Secret Diary of a Call Girl: Not pornographic but deals with sex trade. - Top Gear: This is THE show for car enthusiasts. Funny, exciting, gripping.
So overall, yes. I watch a LOT of television programming. Luckily, not all of these are on in one season. Also, you'll see I have a large interest in food shows. But I want to make it clear: I do not watch any Rachael Ray TV with all her pedestrian approach to cooking.
Also, you might notice I do not have some TV favorites like 24, Grey's Anatomy, Psych. I have seen significant amount of episodes of each and have stopped tuning in for various reasons. I may give 24 a umpteenth chance...maybe.

24 was HORRIBLE last season. But I still watch it (hangs head shamelessly).

As far as shows I watch lately, I'm still on:
Idol, Big Bang Theory (back in 2 weeks) Gossip Girl (back in April) Making the Band 4 (love this season as always) Quarterlife (new show on NBC, pretty awesome premiere last week) One Tree Hill (best written show on TV) RW/RR Challenge Ghost Whisperer: back in april Ugly Betty (back in april)
I really hope Cane and Friday Night Lights are brought back. Badly!
And for new stuff, I recently got in The Wire season one, and part of Dexter season 1. I'm hooked on Dexter so far, really good exposition and build. I'll watch the rest on CBS as it airs. The Wire is decent, but it seems like it's missable to me. I really don't like cop drama's because they don't build show to show and are different every week,
This one seems a bit more clever than the others and I like the main characters, but it doesn't stand out to me as something I'd have to see.
I also saw the premiere of Lost season 1, and loved it. I'll be getting that in a week or so, as well as checking out Weeds an Til' Death. any other recommendations?

Quarterlife was cancelled. Allegedly the rest of the episodes will air some time on Bravo later this year (or you could just watch the segments online on the myspace page I think).
I do not expect Cane to come back in any form.
I do hope Friday Night Lights returns for a third season...it is very questionable, though, at this point.
I've liked One Tree Hill in the past, but this season just doesn't hook me. Maybe it's all the new characters, I don't know.

I do hope Friday Night Lights returns for a third season...it is very questionable, though, at this point. They were talking about this on the radio last week. Liberty Media (who also owns the Braves) worked some deal where DirecTV will take on some of the costs of this show and in return will get some kind of exclusive window for the show (I'm guessing they get to show the show before it airs on non-DirecTV providers). www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/nbc-picking-up-friday-night-lights-after-partnering-on-it-with-directv/

The Hills is back this week, so add that to One Tree Hill, Idol, Big Bang, MTB4 (finale this week), Paradise Hotel 2 as my current shows. Real World is back in a month or so, as is GW and Ugly Betty. 2 of Cane's actors signed with others shows this week, so I guess that show joins Quarterlife as being gone before they had any real chance.
Gotta say, I love Til Death and Weeds. Til Death reminds me of a newer Married with Children with the jokes, and the simple plots. One of the better comedies right now. Weeds is a showtime hit, very good story and funny, quick whitted dialogue. I'm already halfway through season 2. Also loving Dexter as I see it, and I should have Lost in soon.
