Hey, this had to be done sooner or later, seeing as I'm from PIT and a huge football fan. Big Ben is looking like a pro-bowler and is the best thing thats happen to this team since Slash's inception in his pime. He's the closest thing to Marino ever as far as rookie starts.
Duece Staley is FAR exceeding everyone's expectations as one of the NFL's top backs right now, Hines is as good as always, and Burress is sooo much more effective with Ben at QB. Not to mention the secondaries dramatic improvement with the growth of Troy Polamalu and Deshea Townsend.
Nobody thought they could beat Dallas, and Ben proved then wrong. NOBODY thought they had a chance against the record setting Pats last week, and they blew them out. And now everyone is saying the undefeated TO led Eagles are gonna kill us...anyone for another "upset"?
Is anyone excited about this game and who are we picking?

I have a feeling that Pitt might pick up the victory this weekend. But it's still early and I have a feeling that the Steelers might be peaking as a team a bit too soon. The Rookie QB is bound to hit some snags in this long, long season.

Your very right, but it makes him amazing that he's only started 5 games and has been near perfect in each as a rookie. I honestly don't think he's gonna have a bad game as long as the line blocks and his supporting cast (staley, ward, burress) stay healthy. That said, if they keep making plays for him and he gains confidence, Pit should steamroll through the divisional games and have a rather easy playoff birth.

Well the Steelers seem to be handling business in the first half this week. I've only tuned in for 2 plays but it looks like the UGA guys are representing (Haynes and Ward).

"all i have to say it i told u so styles all the steelers needed was a spark "
I don't remember ever doubting the Steelers, in fact I've always been big on them. Though I may have said I wasn't sold on Ben because he had never played in the NFL before, but on that I dont think ANYONE knew he'd be as good as he is playing.
Anyway, I am fully convinced that barring injury Pit can easily go 15-1 this year, seeing as they just DESTROYED the 2 best NFL teams back to back, and the only team that could pose a threat to Pit (Jacksonville) left will be without Byron Leftwich.
Wow, I haven't been this excited about Pit since...umm, last week!

Indeed. I didn't think at the time that Staley would be a factor (he didnt do great for the 1st 2 games), nor did I think Big Ben was ready to be a longtime starter. Obviously I was wrong on both accounts, as Pit has one of the best O's and D's in the league, and the O line and secondary have all stepped up to become elite. Troy Polamalu has been a huge plesent suprise this year and Bettis is showing he has something left in the tank for this team.
And after an easy game against Cleveland, we're now 8-1. Here's for hoping for another wash against Cincy.

Haha nice post. I'll reply with....Jeff Garcia sucks. Your welcome.
Actually LOL I'm glad Holcomb is in there as I always thought he was the future of the ballclub. He outplayed Couch and Garcia is sucking so Holcomb and Suggs need to be relied on for their sake.

I think we need a Football boxing match. Joey Porter vs. All the browns and Ray Lewis..... cause he clearly kiked the sh*t out of Green and the other dude. I also don't think him and Lewis have settled buisness

Lewis just does what he does to be a true leader and fire his boys up, which is why he gets so much respect. Thats exactly what Porter did yesterday, and losing him didn't hurt one big at Pit may have the deepest LB core in the league. Now we get the Duce back for Cincy!

Eli Manning is starting next week and Rod Coleman's mouth is watering.

Yeah, Eli starting is a great thing here. I always doubted Warner, and he certainly isn't getting it done given the team he has. Tiki and Amani can help make plays and get pressure off of the rookie, while his natural talent turns into skill, and by this time next year he'll be an above average threat at the QB spot.
