That is totally different though. That was completely Sabu's fault there, not Benoit's.
But, yeah, Taz does have tons of charisma. His "beat me if you can, survive if I let you gimmick" was awesome, especially since he played it to perfection. I really enjoyed his intensity during his matches. His promos were also pretty good.
But, overall, I would say Homicide is MUCH better than Taz ever was. The only thing Taz was better at was promos.

Yeah, I feel Homicide is definitely better too, but I've always loved watching Taz from ECW.

I think Taz had a tremendous persona and was given a great push. I really enjoyed him in ECW but I would not call him a great worker. He had some good matches but never anything that I look back and say damn that was a great match (although he did a bunch of stuff-like RVD-that made me enjoy his matches).

Taz was badass before being badass was cool. He did things that were never done before at the time (like call out guys from WWF/WCW), and had some VERY memorable promos. Taz worked matches very well IMO, and yes, the other Sabu matches he had were better, but I still loved the Barely Legal one. And still, Taz was having nice matches and dumping people on their head while WWF/WCW didnt have a credible title in their feds.
I still think that their characters and match styles are very comparable though, and if Taz wasn't in that retirment home up in Conn. maybe we'd see them face off.

Heh, you got me! ;D Actually, I agree with NewFnShow and think it was more Sabus fault. Maybe I need to go back and watch some old Taz promos and such. The dude just never... I dunno... did it for me.

I know what you mean Andy, everyone has wrestlers that are widely liked that some certain others just don't like...thats wrestling and thats why debating it is fun.
