I just watched the last episode of Futurama for i think the third time...half way. Ive never seen it from the begining, but the ending of the series is so well scripted and takes off of great operas and dramas (im an actor...that appeals to me) its just AMAZING. And really a heartfelt ending for a show that although it was very comic, had some touching serious endings
Another Futurama that had me close to tears was the episode where Fry fought to get his dog back and when they were ready to bring him back to life he realized the dog had lived another 10 years after Fry was frozen, so he stopped the procedure to bring him back. The ending is a flashback of the dog sitting outside the pizza place fry worked, just waiting for him to return...very sad
But the ending to the series was not sad, but it was not funny. It was heart warming and the entire episode was masterfully written.
My point is that this show never got its props, and this episode will probably be lost in the shuffle of Cartoon Network and the series on DVD and never really get its props, but it was an intelligent and moving cartoon...something that is impossible to find now a days
Anyone seen this episode and know what im talking about?

You know, I've seen a good majority of the Futurama episodes, but I'm not sure if I've seen the last one. Back when FOX was shuffling the schedule around, I think I ended up missing it. Was the one Cartoon Network aired last night the final episode? Cause I did catch the last 4 minutes of it.
And yeah, that episode with the dog had me all veclempt. That's actually the last one I remember seeing on FOX.

Depends on what time your talking about last night, i wrote this statement at like 1 AM on Saturday...so does that count as last night?
The ending involved Fry playing an instrument and Him and Lila walking off in happiness to a very pretty song.
EDIT: Also pretty much the entire last 10 Minutes of the show is a musical...
