Why does it seem that people never include Comedys or Comedians when talking about the greatest actors and movies of all time. Everyone goes on and on about Dramas and Sci-fis but no one really gives the Comedians any respect. It takes talent to make large audiences laugh.

Yes, it takes talent but when I look at an actor and the different roles that they play it is more of a stretch for them to do a good drama then a good comedy. Honestly, I don't know of much good acting that has been talked up in reference to Sci-Fi films so I think it's pretty much just Dramas that people really talk up good acting in. And it's because the roles that the actors take on in dramas have more depth and character range.

Point taken, and I agree but I'd still like to see some respect for Comedians they work just as hard and are just as entertaining as other actors.

I don't think it has anything to do with being entertaining. Comedians are definitely respected for being entertaining. It has to do with proving that you can act a role that is different from everything else that you do. Most comedians are good actors- but they have to prove it by showing that they can do other stuff as well. See: Will Smith in Ali, Jim Carrey in Truman Show, Jamie Foxx in Ray, Bill Murray in Lost in Translation as just a couple of examples. A lot of people look at comedy roles as being the same or very similar (and many of them are) but dramas tend to take actors and make them play completely different roles then what they are normally used to. In comedies a lot of time you can play yourself but in dramas you have to play a different person.

Good point, Except I didn't like the Truman Show, but that's another story.

Mostly the movie. Jim Carrey can act well in anything, THe Enternal Shunshine of a Spotless Mind is a great example of Carrey acting in a good movie that's no a comedy

Man, I really liked The Truman Show, mainly because it was a step away from Carrey's usual type of movie, but to me it proved he doesn't just have to rely on the comedy and over-the-top antics to be a good actor. It's more of a drama with some comedic elements, but nothing compared to his previous movies. But my taste in films has been called "zany and idiotic" before.
The Enternal Shunshine of a Spotless Mind is a pretty bad film, though.

I can see why you'd think considering you really really have to pay attention and think it through to really understand it.

I can see why you'd think considering you really really have to pay attention and think it through to really understand it. Are you calling me dumb...? It just wasn't my type of film, and I usually enjoy most of Winslet, Dunst and Carrey's films, so it's surprising. I guess I worded it wrong, as I can appreciate the intelligent and witty script along with Kaufman's screenwriting capability here, but I just found it quite boring and not at all interesting. Meh, I guess I'm contradicting myself.

No I'm not calling you dumb that came out wrong. What I was trying to say is Enternal Sunshine is a movie only certain people would enjoy, and obvasiously you ain't one of them. I must ask you b/c it seems these two movies get compared alot did you enjoy Donnie Darko?

I did actually, and I was ashamed to see people advise me to go see The Butterfly Effect because I liked DD, when all I got was a watered down version of the prior film.

I really liked Eternal Sunshine but that's just me. I like weird movies.
If you liked that then I would highly recommend "Being John Malcovich" (by the same writer). An amazing movie.
