Who's seen the movie/read the book?
What did you think of it and what it suggested? The story is fiction but if you read the book it tells you that both Opus Dei and Priory of Sion where/are real groups and yes Da Vinci, Issac Newton, etc. where indeed members of the Priory.
First off I'll say contrary to what the critics think I loved the movie and the book is simply phenomenal. The movie did leave out a few important things like not pointing out the Langdon had claustrophobia at the beginning which is why he freaks out in the elevator with Fache and it goes away after Sophie rubs his head like her mother did in the car while he's in the back of the armored truck (Similar to Jesus curing people in the bible) as well as other character traits in the characters.
On to what the story suggests. That the Holy Grail is indeed the tomb of Mary Magdalene and that Jesus was actually married to her and had a family that's bloodline still exists today. As I stated the story itself is fiction but the idea that Jesus had a family and a bloodline that still exists isn't not new and is explored in other books most note worthy Holy Blood, Holy Grail.
I am not a religious man I've alway found organized religion to be ridiculous and not needed to be close to god. The idea that Jesus was god's son and Christianity I'm also not a believer in. The idea that Jesus had a family to me does not seem far fetched at all. Exspeacilly considering Jesus was indeed a Jew and in that part of history a male Jew not being married would be looked down apon. Now if Jesus wanted to people to listen to him and follow him he would need some respect and if he was unwed and looked down apon that would not be good for his cause. So if Jesus did indeed have a family to me that would make much more sense then the story that is in the bible. The Mary Magdalene parts and her being in tombed under the Louvre, etc. those parts I'm not in favor of and that's where the fiction comes in but I do believe that Jesus probably had a family.
What did everyone else think?
