I highly encourage you to rent or buy the first season DVD tomorrow. Here's a show I was very skeptical of before it debuted and I didn't watch a lot of the early episodes. By chance I caught one episode and was hooked. I'm not saying this is a 10/10 show, but for me, it has surpassed 24. I believe the show has some strong acting, interesting characters, and just that general sense of "I can't wait to see the next episode."
Plus, it's something to watch while you're waiting for the new season of Lost.

It's a fun show. I enjoyed it. That being said there is a lot of stuff that you just kind of have to go with. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Season 2.
You watching anything else recently? I started watching the TNT Monday night shows (Closer and Saved) and really enjoy them. Closer is a very easy watch cause all of the episodes are self containing (like Numbers and CSI). Also watching Entourage, which is fucking awesome this season.

Outside of wrestling, reruns, and Iron Chef America, these are the shows I'm watching:
1. The 4400 (USA)- This show, which has been called "X-Men lite," has been kinda subpar this season. However, recently it has started the beginning of the end for the season, so things have picked up fortunately. Currently the show ranges from 5 to 7 out of 10 (although it used to be an 8 in season 2).
2. Venture Bros. (Cartoon Network)- Very good comedy cartoon. I especially recommend it if you want to see a parody of Jonny Quest. The show is usually 9 or 10 out of 10.
3. Rescue Me (FX)- Actually, I should clarify this...I haven't actually seen this show in weeks. I have a lot of episodes on my DVR because I just haven't been into this season. Rating: unknown. I will try to watch all the episodes in batch form later.
4. 30 Days (FX)- The guy who did Super Size Me and his show about putting people in different situations to get a better understanding of a social issue (e.g. a volunteer Minuteman living with a family of illegal aliens, a homophobe living with a gay man in San Francisco, a man who lost his job to outsourcing getting a job in India, etc). I'm sure many people out there have issues with this show, but I find it thought-provoking and at times funny. Rating: 8.
5. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX)- This show's been getting some press due to the addition of Danny DeVito this season, but I think it was funny back in season 1. Like Seinfeld, it's a sitcom with characters who are kinda scumbags but still manage to be entertaining. Rating: 7 to 8 out of 10.
6. Psych (USA)- New show that started this summer about a man with strong skills of observation and passes them off as psychic abilities to work as a private detective. It's episode-based like CSI and Numbers, but the mood is more light-hearted. The protagonist really makes the show, while the supporting cast could be a bit stronger. Rating: 7 out of 10
7. Who Wants to Be a Superhero? (Sci-Fi)- reality TV show about people who dress up and act like superheros under the watchful eye of Stan Lee. Grand prize is getting to star in their own comic and being the subject of a Sci-Fi original movie. I thought this show would be really silly...and it is but in a good way. The show is likely heavily scripted, but it's campy fun. A surprisingly worthwhile show especially if you're into comics. Rating: 8 out of 10

I caught the first 2 seasons of 4400 on DVD this summer and it was very enjoyable.
