The high school football show with Kyle Chandler? It's quickly becoming one of my favorite can't miss shows. Very good writing, and powerfully acted so far. Anyone else seen it yet? If not, I highly recommend it.

Yeah, I'm watching it. It's good. But then again so was the movie so if you saw the movie then you really aren't missing that much.

I am not. Kyle Chandler's a pretty good TV actor, though.

I saw the movie, and I like it. But the show allows for slower booking obviously, and more time to pound home the importance and events of each week. Really good show.

I started watching it, and now I'm all caught up. Even though I'm not really a football fan, I do think the show is pretty good. I like the look into small town-football craze culture, and I like the characters for the most part. The music's good too.

Thing is, I know a lot of places are really like that. Those small towns with good HS teams live for Friday nights, and would literally kill for a win.

The show has been officially extended for a full season run, which is good news since the ratings haven't been the greatest.

Reminds me of a show like Life as we Know it or Reunion in that it's fantastically written and well acted, and much better than it gets credit for but even with a clut fallowing it gets no ratings. I don't understand that.

I don't understand that. -Jason Reunion was horribly acted. That being said I liked the show. Personally, I think the reason that Friday Night Lights isn't getting very good ratings is because they've already put out a book and movie about it and now they are doing a TV that is the same exact thing as the book and movie and it's not bringing in anything new. Plus, people watch TV to get away from everyday life (i.e. Heroes, Desperate Housewives, Lost, House, CSI, are examples of shows doing well that aren't your everyday life) and Friday Night Lights is pretty much like everyday life.

Reunion was pretty good...I really wish the series got closure.
As for Friday Night Lights, I actually thought Voodoo should've stayed on the show. He had an interesting backstory, but ultimately they just made him to be an arrogant jerk.
