I really don't see the Hawks taking Foye in the first round as he is a shooting guard and they already have Joe Johnson, Josh Childress, and about 6 other guys who can play that position.

The Hawks aren't taking Brandon Roy either. They already have JJ, Childress, Josh Smith and Marvin Williams who play his position.
I'm definitely bummed that the Hawks got screwed in the NBA lottery. I would have liked to have seen us get in the Top 3 and get Thomas or Aldridge.
At 5 I think their best choice is to trade down (if anyone wants to trade up) or reach for a guy like Marcus Williams (best PG in the draft) or Sheldon Williams (a guy who is a big man and will be a solid contributer immediately at the next level). We either need a PG of a PF/C and neither Foye or Roy (both really good players) fit that need. We drafted Marvin last year instead of Chris Paul and Derron Williams and it was a not a draft pick of need. This draft pick must be a need pick.
