Georgia is a fucking pathetic excuse for a football team this year.

Losing to Vandy= done for any hopes of a major bowl game.

Hey now. Vandy's progressing as a football program. They've been in every game this year and had a great chance to win each game except Michigan (where Michigan took control of the game in the 4th quarter). Losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss just made me shake my head. Vandy could very easily be 6-1 if they found ways to win the close games. I knew afterwhile that the odds would eventually go in their favor and they'd win a couple of games. It started to happen yesterday. Don't be surprised if they pull out another win against Florida or UT.

They are still Vanderbilt and the upper-echelon schools of the SEC (Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia and Tennessee) should not lose to them. EVER.

The Same Old Vandy thing is slowly going away and yesterday was a big step for the Vandy program. Over the next couple years, I think Vandy will knock off a few upper-echelon teams (which never happened in the past). The program is on the way up and bowl games are in the very near future (which is something that hasn't happened since '82).

Georgia is the first Division 1-A team they have beat this year (yes, I am including Temple as a Division II-A team because they are the worst team in Division 1-A football) and lost to Ole Miss and the best they should end up this year is 5-7. That is not a team that Georgia should lose to since Georgia has become a fixture in the Top 10 in the Richt era and has one of the Top records over the last 5 years.

Vandy since Cutler is good, but shouldn't be able to beat a Georgia team for another 5 steady years of winning with things conditioned the way they have been. -Jason

Georgia won't be the only SEC team to lose to Vandy this year. 6 wins is a definite possibility this year. South Carolina, Kentucky, and Duke are all winnable games and I'm not throwing out the possibility of beating Florida or UT.
Since someone mentioned Cutler, I truly believe that if Cutler was on this year's team, we'd be 6-1 right now and possibly might've even beaten Michigan in the opener.
I know it looks reallly bad right now losing to Vandy, but it won't seem as bad in a couple years. Mark my words...

What do you mean by who's place Vandy's planning on taking? What I'm trying to say is Vandy's gonna be a lot more competitive and the record will show soon. Instead of being at the bottom of the SEC, I feel like they'll be middle of the pack soon and beat some top SEC teams.

Instead of being at the bottom of the SEC, I feel like they'll be middle of the pack soon and beat some top SEC teams. So if they are in the middle of the pack then you are saying that they are going to be better than Florida, Tennessee, UGA or South Carolina on a consistent basis. So who's place are they taking?
