Kev, I figured you may like hearing that Howard Thompkins, the #13 overall rated basketball prospect of 2008 according to Rivals, committed to Georgia. Sounds like the biggest recruit to come to Georgia in a few years.

Nice, I'll have to look up some info on him. That will be the year that Mercer, Woodbury and Humphrey will be seniors so it could be a chance to make a splash if we don't this year.

Nice, I'll have to look up some info on him. That will be the year that Mercer, Woodbury and Humphrey will be seniors so it could be a chance to make a splash if we don't this year. I saw a big AAU basketball tourney in Nashville during Memorial Day weekend that featured a lot of the top 2008 basketball prospects. There was a team called the Georgia Stars that has a few guys that are highly rated. They have 3 big man that are 4-star recruits (one includes Ralph Sampson III). One guy doesn't seem to be on their radar (Aminu, a consensus top 5 recruit currenlty who seems to be looking at UNC and Georgia Tech). However, they got two 7 footers that I believe Georgia has a shot at. I know Tony Woods ( a 5-star prospect) had Georgia listed. Y'all could go from a very small team a couple or so years ago to a very BIG team (size-wise) by 2008. We'll see how recruiting pans out.
