I'm not gonna mention any of the recaps/interviews, mainly because I didn't see them. Just the matches this week.
"Kool" Seth Delay vs. The Amazing Red-
Looked a lot better on paper. I think Red may have come back too soon from his injury. Seth is really starting to look like AJ Styles-cito, which is appropriate considering they train together. This was not 1/10th of any Red vs Styles match. Delay hit a couple trademark spots, blew one of them, and did manage to hit the Ultimate Back Bump. Red didn't get in much offense but did some good bumps. Red got the W after a Red Star Press.
Jerry Lynn & Elix Skipper vs "Spyder" Nate Webb & CHRIS HERO-
I joined the match in progress when Lynn hit a pescado onto Webb and Hero. They were on the floor when I walked into the room, so I can only assume that's what happened. Elix is strongest in tag matches and works the face in peril sequence as Chris Hero applies the CRAVATE~! and shouts "Watch this Mike Tenay!" He called out Tenay WHILE applying the cravate, making him my new favorite wrestler. Hero and Webb work well together and hit a few decent tag moves. Jerry Lynn comes in off the hot tag, though how hot it was is totally lost on the Zombies of the Asylum. He's a HOUSE 'A FFFFFIRE, and the ref has lost control cause it's so zany. All I remember next is Nate Webb eating hot death and bumping outside the ring, followed by Elix hitting Hero with his Bringing Down the House move for the pin.
FUN FACT- Christopher Daniels was a stunt double in the movie, Bringing Down the House (at least according to the fine people at IMDB.com). Elix Skipper's new finisher is called Bringing Down the House. Elix Skipper was in Triple X with Christopher Daniels. Someone should market a Three Degrees of Christopher Daniels. Eat that Kevin Bacon.
Christopher Daniels vs Gabriel-
Wow, speaking of Daniels. I've dropped his name more than DDP mentions Karl Malone.
This is a continuation of the Hardcore Hell match I guess. Gabriel has been looking good recently, and this was no different. This is one of the better enhancement talent vs established star matches I've seen since Paul London vs Matt Hardy before London was signed. Perfectly fine match. Daniels picks up the win with the Last Rites.
