Samoa Joe's Ring
With Special Guest Host Bryan Danielson~! and Homicide~! Danielson shows how to apply a top wrist lock and Homicide shows how to deliver a stiff forearm to the trainees face. OUCH.
Ace Steel vs. BJ Whitmer
The Briscoes storm the ring pre-match and destroy Ace with a springboard into a spike JAY DRILLER. SICK~! Jay then cuts a GOOD HEEL promo. Yes you heard me right. Jay cut a good promo. Punk and Cabana come out to save Ace to the crowds cheers. SCS are FACES in CHI-TOWN~! SCS and Briscoes brawl after Punk cuts a face promo.
The ring clears and BJ and Ace wrestle a decent but unmemorable match.
Justin Credible & Masada vs. Shawn Daivari & Delirious
Delirious is a RIOT! He was really on in this match. Masada looked good as well as he won the match with what can only be described as a brainbuster where he dropped his opponents head on his knee. OUCH.
Chad Collyer vs. John Walters
This WAY surpassed my expectations. Good stuff.
Nigel McGuiness vs. Jimmy Rave vs. Rocky Romero vs. Austin Aries (Four Corner Survival Match)
This was FRIGGIN' GREAT. Rocky Romero is a STUD. Nigel McGuiness is SMOOTH. Aries is SOLID. Rave is GUTSY. WATCH THIS MATCH.
Homicide vs. Bryan Danielson
This is why I LOVE RING OF HONOR. First we have an AWESOME 4-way featuring lower mid-carders and new comers and then we have a GREAT match that steals the show at the half way point of the card. This match was REALLY good. If anyone knows of a wrestler who is more technically sound than Bryan Danielson then let me know because I haven't found him yet. I really need to rewatch this and Hashi/Liger as both of these matches are legit MOTYC.
BUY THIS TAPE
Next Up: Ricky Reyes vs. Danny Daniels
Jack Evans & Matt Sydal vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Alex Shelley vs. Loc & Devito vs. Dunn & Marcos (Tag Team Scramble)
Samoa Joe vs. Matt Stryker (ROH World Title Match)
Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. CM Punk & Colt Cabana (ROH Tag Team Title Match)

Man, this blows. I only have enough money to get two ROH tapes from April, May, and June, and already there is a must buy tape. Both RRC III and Generation Next both look like must buys too!
Damn you ROH. Damn you straight to hell!

Agreed, ROH makes it way to hard to pick shows. This looks like my pick thus far though, and there are still some great looking matches to review.

Stage Two sounds pretty great, even though I'll hate Walters-Collyer. I must see Danielson-Homicide... out of necessity, and if that means buying a show with that match on it I will! Because I'M HARDCORE!
Of course, buying it will be a totally different deal now that they've split from RF Video. This is real interesting...

Ricky Reyes vs. Danny Daniels
This one was decent. Both guys looked pretty good. I like Daniels much better in ROH than in IWA MS for some reason. Maybe cause his matches are shorter?
Jack Evans & Matt Sydal vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Alex Shelley vs. Loc & Devito vs. Dunn & Marcos (Tag Team Scramble)
Typical scramble that was FUN as usual. It's good seeing Sydal get an opportunity and it was good to see Shelley get a nice "heel" pop at the end of the match after rejecting Jacobs after the match was over. Evans hit a sweet 630 and Sydal landed a nice SSP to the outside during the match.
Samoa Joe vs. Matt Stryker (ROH World Title Match)
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Both guys looked really good and I would probably rate this around ***1/2. As a point of reference I would say it was better than Joe vs. Whitmer (WOTR).

Very good looking show, with a scramble i'm dying to see. Anytime you put Jacobs and Shelley out there, not to mention Evans, your bound to have some sickness and innovation.
Stryker/Joe looks good too, and thats without even hearing how good the SCS vs. Briscoes was yet.

Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. CM Punk & Colt Cabana (ROH Tag Team Title Match)
This was a real good tag-match and a great way to end a great show as the crowd was hot for the Second City Saints. I'm not sure if I liked this match or the Pitbulls vs. Briscoes better but both were really solid. Punk continues to impress me as he just seems to get better and better each time I see him.
Overall you need to see this show for Cide vs. AmDrag. I also REALLY liked the 4-way, and the tag-title match and Joe vs. Stryker was much better than I thought it would be. Overall you will not be disappointed if you buy this tape.
