OldSkool WWF/E, WCW and ECW reviews will be coming more frequently from me in the future as during ht heyday of WCW/ECW and the WWE i was not an avid wrestling fan. It wasnt till right before wCw went out of busniess that i got into wrestling again ( i was a big fan in the 80'2 and early ninetys, till about 1992)
And im starting with Backlash 2000 which i got for 6.50 on Ebay... ;D
WWF Tag Team Title Match
Edge and Christian vs Road Dawg and X-Pac
A pretty decent match to start the show, but Edge and Christian were so far beyond theyre competitors in fitness and wrestling ability it was amusing. A good back and forth Sports entertainment style tag match, Xpac being lacerated at the end of the match made me happy...

Light Heavyweight Title Match
Dean Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty
This is actually the reason i bought this tape, someone had it on there top 20 list over on the RoH boards and explained it was the best match of Scottys Career and had an awesome finish. They did not lie. Might even be Malenkos best WWF match, although i think he wrestled Jerry Lynn at one point and that was pretty good. Very good match with Dean Malenko running circles around Scotty and Scotty not giving up. Great working over the leg by Malenko, Selling by Scotty and match psychology. GREAT Finish, dangerous as anything...The Finish was a jumping top Rope DDT (with both men on the top to start it). Great Match

Bull Buchanan & Big Bossman vs APA
I didnt expect much from this match...wait, not true...i expected to hate it. And i didnt, for one reason- Bull Buchanan. The Guy has amazing talent for his size, its a pity the WWF/E didnt use him better. But he was the highlight of this match as he got in some amazing offense and the finish was an off the top rope Ax Kick. However Bulls impressive offense couldnt make this match great...because of the other three men involved...
Rating: ** (For Bull)
Hardcore Title Match
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy vs Hardcore Holly vs Crash Holly vs Perry Saturn vs Tazz
This match maily made me miss Crash Holly, but it had some good stuff by the Hardys but they didnt square off at all. They actually showed footage from smackdown the week before with Jeff vs Matt and for the title which made me want to catch that match as the only Jeff vs Matt match i ever saw was Vengence 2001 (or 2002?). Little clustered at points, but its not like i didnt expect that...Good use of the Backlash hooks by the hardys and Crash took a beating but came out still champion. Fun match
Rating: **1/2
The Big Show vs Kurt Angle
Big Show has a heck of a lot of Charisma and his "Showster" showed that. The Match was about as good as a typical Hogan match...so...not all that spectacular. The Kurt Angle vs Big Show matches last year were a thousand times better. This was short and sweet though, but not amazing

T&A vs The Dudleyz
Trish Stratus looked better for this match than i have EVER seen her look. The Storyline for this match was odd, but i was more focused on Trish. Test and Albert were a good team, too bad they suck as singles wrestlers. Dudleyz looked meh...Ok match, but i was distracted by Trish
Rating: *1/2
European Title Match
Eddie Guerrero vs Essa Rios
I expected a lot out of this match and i did get it, but It was up and down. There were splashes of greatness from both men but it didnt carry though.. The problem with Eddie at this point in time was that he was inconsistent, and that was always a problem with Esse Rios. Lita looked amazing (and i never find her attractive). Very good match, but i expected more. (Kinda like the Test vs Eddie match at WM17)

Intercontinental Title Match
Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho
As much as i wanted to love this match, i just didnt. It was a very good match but there was much less chain wrestling then i expected. Some good reversals and finisher escapes. Ended too quick and the ending just bothered me though...but it was Still Benoit vs Jericho

WWF Championship Match
Sepcial Ref: Shane O'Mac
The Rockw/ Stone Cold vs HHH w/ Steph and Vince
Sports Entertainment at its best, Swerves, Run-Ins and great storyline development, along with a pretty good brawl style match (nothing touches Cactus vs HHH though). Highlight was Rock giving the Rock Botton to HHH with Shane Behind HHH, through the Spanish Announce Table. A little shorter than i would have liked but thats why im hoping to watch...
Rating: ***1/2
The Rock vs HHH Iron Man match next...anyone know what show thats from?
Overall a good show for Benoit vs Jericho, Scotty 2 Hotty vs Malenko, The Hardcore Match, Eddie vs Esse and the Main Event
And im starting with Backlash 2000 which i got for 6.50 on Ebay... ;D
