Dan Maff/BJ Whitmer vs. CM Punk/Colt Cabana
The Prophecy cut a pre-match promo in the back and Maff just gets better and better on the stick. Overall a decent but solid match in which Steamboat gets involved to further his storyline w/Punk.
Alex Shelley vs. Matt Stryker
Solid but short match. I dug the ending sequence (last 3 minutes or so) besides the ref kind of botching the 3 count. DOH!
Carnage Crew/Dunn & Marcos vs. Outkast Killas/Josh Daniels/Prince Nana
This was a lot better than I thought it would be. That being said it wasn't that great. Daniels looked real solid.
Samoa Joe vs. Ricky Reyes
I liked his a lot. STIFF~! Damn there were some nasty shots in this match. I'll have to watch it again later.
So far a decent show with everything being pretty good but nothing great so far.
The Briscoes vs. Maff/Whitmer
Pretty good but not great tag-match. A lot more brawling then actual tag-team action. Mark crashed and burned on a high-risk top rope move but Maff and Whitmer covered nicely by beating the shizzle out of him. Overall good match with a good story being told of the 3 teams (also Punk/Cabana being pretty much equals).
Josh Daniels vs. Dixie
Okay match. Nothing special. Nice Fisherman's buster finisher by Daniels.
Izzy vs. Jay Lethal/Hydro/Jamar Cunningham vs. Masada vs. Trent Acid vs. Roderick Strong vs. John Walters
Really fun 6-man mayhem match here. Probably my favorite one so far. Once again...Roderick Strong will BREAK YOU across his knee several times during a match.
Spanky vs. Homicide
I liked this a lot. Probably the best match on the card so far. I think it helped that Spanky and Cide both seem to wrestle a similar style in that neither one of them are known as technical wrestlers, both like to mix it up and both are very quick. Lots of outside the ring action and heel tatics by Cide/J-Train. I thought this was a good step above their World-1 match back from February. Good story with Cide's next opponent being Joe so he did not want to lose momentum going into the match and Spanky was trying to get a win in his comeback ROH match. Lots of near falls in this one. I think you guys will like it. Not great...but really fun.
Colt Cabana/CM Punk vs. The Briscoes
This was a really good tag-match. Definitely better than their first match at Reborn Stage 2 and definitely better than the other 2 tag-matches tonight. Really enjoyed the action and story told in this one. Great spot where Punk hits Jay with a Tiger Suplex but Mark breaks it up with a SSP from the top (reminiscent from the Era of Honor Begins 3-way). Really good interaction after the match between Steamboat and Punk where Punk sells like a champ for Steamboat. Good stuff all around.
Overall I liked this show but there really wasn't anything amazing on the show. I really enjoyed the Main Event, Joe/Reyes and Cide/Spanky. Solid show but not one of the better ones this year IMO.
