So far the show is decent, but not not on the level of some of the better shows from them this year. Still some fun stuff though, and i'm only halfway through.
Icarus vs. JC Bailey was decent. A bit long but still had alot of fast paced stuff in it. Bailey needs to stay around, Icarus is OK. Decent match.
Trik Davis vs. Boz was a beatdown. Boz looked better than I've ever seen him, but this was very short. Nothing spacial.
Jacobs vs. Delirious was good as expected, but still not as good as usual. Make this about 5 minutes shorter, and it was great. Still Delirious is HILARIOUS and the match is good.
Webb vs. Sydal was GREAT. Sydal does it again:
vs. Aries vs. Styles vs. Punk vs. Webb
Some REALLY fun exchanges and spots in this one, and Sydal again shows that he is better than Styles was at this age and early time in his career. Oh, and the Webb intro was the best yet! Watch this.
Then came the Hero vs. The Dragon. The first have of this was GREAT. The crowd was super into it, and the hype was awesome. Then Dragon gets into his "I don't wanna wrestle, I just wanna uppercut and strike" mode and it gets my mind off the match, making it on the boring side. Chris Hero tries to carry it though, and is everything Dragon wishes he was: a real wrestler that actually uses moves and holds. Anyway, this wasn't bad, but not near worth the hype.
Still to come: B-Boy vs. Punk, Cannon vs. Cide, Adam Pearce's debut.

WHAT?! Now, I am a big Hero fan, but NO ONE ON THE PLANET can carry Danielson. Danielson isn't a real wrestler? He has the SICKEST uppercuts on the planet. His strikes just add to his already awesome moveset. I'll never understand the Danielson hatred. He is pure gold.

I'm in a bad mood. So I won't comment on this paragraph.

Honestly if Dragon was anyone else I don't think you guys would like him. He doesn't even HAVE a moveset really, he does his finsher, an airplane spin, and uppercuts. His shots in this match didn't even look that good (they usually do). My beef with Danielson is that he doesn't really do any moves at all (high impact nor technical), he just grinds at body parts and tries to be too real. If I can't get into Dragon vs. Cide, Styles, London, or Hero I can bet i'll never like him again. And the thing about it is, I try to make myself cheer him in hopes that it'll be good, then I fall asleep. Send Danielson's ass to Japan and never let him in the states again, he doesn't belong.

If anyone else was as good as Danielson in the ring, I would like them just as much as him. He doesn't have a REPETITIVE moveset, like say someone like AJ Styles. While Styles busts out the same moves EVERY match(lariot, moonsault into reverse ddt, styles clash, some other flippy sh*t), Danielson busts out NEW holds and moves EVERY match. His matches look REAL(which is what wrestling is supposed to look, REAL). While we are at it, lets send all the great wrestlers in the US back to Japan.

No, but honestly Dragon is taylor made for Japan. Not that thats a bad thing, but I'm just not into his style. I go into every match of his, excited that he'll show up and make it fun, but he's let me down on several occasions now. He is unlike every other guy (which is good) but still tries to grind things out to the point that it's boring. I realize that i'm the only "smart mark" or whatever not to like him, but hey, again thats what makes it fun to discuss.

Actually, you are not, but I don't agree with any of them either.

So I've finished the show, and WOW the 2nd half was fun. Some very good stuff here.
Pearce vs. Kage was decent, but Pearce did a little TOO much taunting. Still though, both men impressed me and I can't wait to see Pearce in PWG. Enjoyed this though.
The REAL Purists (Collyer and McGuinness) vs. Daniels/Whitmer was a really solid match. Some awesome spots by Nigel and Chad, and Collyer was really on his game here. Whitmer did enough to keep this going, and the string of cool tag matches from the real purists continues. I love this team!
Cannon vs. Homicide- WOW, this blew me away. Homicide did something Danielson could never dream of doing for Cannon, make him look like gold in the ring. This was another case of a verteran and one of the best underestimating a young star then trading holds. This match was just SO well done and showed me alot about Cannon. They went hold for hold with innovation, got stiff (some of the stiffest shot's i've EVER seen) then went high impact. GREAT match. Maybe a distant MOTYC by the way it was setup.
I fast forwarded Rotten vs Stone as I hate Ian being in the ring and booking himself against people. Heard this was decent and stiff, but I didnt really care to see it.
Punk vs. B-Boy was awesome as well. Just a level or 2 down from Cide/Cannon. Great technical match where Punk worked b-boy's back, and B-Boy chopped the living sh*t out of Punk. Really fun dream match, second best of the night.
Didn't watch the hardcore match at the end either, I usually do just for Punk's commentary, but the sound was shot on this match so I just turned this one off.
Overall a very fun show, made by a couple of matches. Cannon/Cide, B-Boy/Punk and Webb/Sydal all stole the show and were great matches, Pearces debut was fun and the tag match is worth seeing. A few bad things here, but still definetly IWA MS quality. Check this out if you can.
