This was WWAs last PPV, albeit i think only they're fourth, and only the second one id seen. I got it on DVD on ebay for under ten dollars and for a chance to see Bret Harts emotional fare well and The Four Way Crusierweight match i think it was worth it
Opening Match
Rick Steiner vs Mark Mercedes
Ok...out of all the really talented wrestlers WWA used...they start the PPV off with Mark Mercedes. And his opponent is Rick Steiner...eh. The match itself isnt bad, its a high end Sunday Night Heat match, no real psychology but some good moves and a couple neat submissions. But the match overall was not very exciting and lacked a good legth to get anything going...but then again i dont think i would have wanted to see this go very long
Rating: 1/4*
Three Way Midget Match
Teo vs Puppett vs Meatball
Meatball is the fattest midget...EVER. This is a midget match...lets move on
Rating: DUD
Hardcore Rules
Devon Storm vs Konnan
I think if the WWE had kept the Hardcore division Devon Storm could have fit in very nicely. I think if he slimmed down a bit he could also be a good edition to the Cruiserweight division, but the WWE could find BETTER crusierweights than Storm as i think he is better in this kind of match. Konnan did a good job of not looking like crap and Devon carried him to an enjoyable match. Low end Hardcore match with some good spots and Konnan getting the crap beat out of him, they worked hard but Devons matches with Sabu were a thousand times more exciting
Rating: **
WWA International Cruserweight/NWATNA X Division Title Unification Four Corners Match
Jerry Lynn vs Johnny Swinger vs Chris Sabin vs Frankie Kazarian
This match was worth the price of the show alone, just AWESOME stuff. Equal to some of the best RoH four ways with style and flow. Match never slowed down from the opening and it was close to twenty minutes long (if not longer). The exchanges between Sabin and Kazarian makes me want to find the Super 8 match they had not too long ago, which i heard was awesome. The Match was great and Swinger really impressed me (not that his is AWFUL, i just didnt think he could hang with the other three guys, but he did). Very good match
Rating: ***1/2
Still to Come: Bret Harts Speech, Sting vs Jarrett
