My favorite show so far this year. Excellent angles, and all kind of good payoff matches at different spots in the card. Heck of a show.
1. Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. Sal Rinuaro & Tony Mamaluke vs. Kid Mikaze & Jason Blade
The awesome return of one of the best teams in the game. Really solid fun match, Briscoe's didn't look rusty at all. Good response by the crowd as well. Liked it, welcome back Briscoe's.
2. Adam Pearce vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jay Fury vs. Azrieal (Four Corner Survival)
A bit long, but still very solid. Double C is over and has been money in ROH. Fury is a fun spot worker who has added to the undercard, and Pearce has been the best addition so far this year minus Yang. Another good one.
3. Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal (Grudge Match)
One of the great big payoffs on the show. Not as good as their pure title match last year, but close. Lethal plays a hell of a heel and both men did their scouting on each other here. I'd sad that Lethal is now gone, because this was a very good match.
4. Christopher Daniels vs. BJ Whitmer (Grudge Match)
Nothing special here. Seemed like just spot work that didn't have much meaning, or as much as it should have. Daniels has been great this year, but this didn't come off well.
5. Homicide vs. Colt Cabana (Ghetto Fight)
My second favorite MOTN, and it made a fun runner up to my MOTYC's. Innovative, realistic, hardcore fighting to fit the fued and put over Cide's thug character and Colt's hatred and heart in the fued. Everything a blow off match should be.
6. Bryan Danielson vs. Jimmy Rave (ROH World Title Match)
Rave doesn't know how to be a heel and still work in the ring, and Danielson doesn't know actual wrestling holds consecutively. Fast forward to the end of this.
7. Ricky Reyes vs. Jack Evans (Rottweilers vs. Generation Next)
Fun short match in which Evans smacks his head/body on the floor as hard and fast as I've ever seen, nearly killing himself. Reyes has improved in his 2006 work, and Evans is still one of the best flyers in the biz.
8. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong vs. AJ Styles & Matt Sydal (ROH Tag Team Title Match)
Maybe the best match on a great show. 4 very solid workers in an old school style tag match that ends with a nice flurry. One of the 5 best tag matches I've seen this year. Quite possibly a low end MOTYC, and I hope they do it again. TNA needs Strong and Sydal.
1. 4th anny show
2. Dissension
3. Tag Wars 06
4. Hell Freezes Over
5. Unscripted 2
