Overall a very solid show, with three standout matches and two MOTYC's IMO. Very glad I started back on PWG with this show.
1. Ronin vs. Sydal
Really glad to see Sydal on the show, but I hate Ronin. Ronin is a fat, bland rip-off of Super Dragon. But that said, this match wasn't bad. A solid starter match that was pretty short.
2. Davey Richards vs. Rocky Romero
Now we're talking. This is one of my MOTYC's. From the early hold for hold wrestling, to the back and forth kicks to the cool outside spots this was both intense and smart from bell to bell. Told a story and mixed a lot of good submissions in throughout. I really enjoyed this one a lot.
3. Bosh/Lost/Sky vs. Kazarian/Sabin/Shelley
Certainly fun as you'd expect, but as most PWG 6 man tags do, it got lost a bit and went 5 minutes too long. Even still, the double/triple team work and the highflying made this fun to watch. Kazarian is the one guy I would still love to see in PWG from TNA, he really fits there as his home company and isn't doing much in TNA anyway.
4. Double C vs. Chris Hero
This was supposed to be C's final PWG match (but it wasn't). Anyway, here's the other MOTYC. 25 minutes of classic technical wrestling, lucha, and false finishes you can only get from matches between these two. I've seen them wrestle a lot and this was one of the best.
5. Bino Gambino vs. Disco Machine
Disco is the 2nd guy I hate in this company that gets pushed hard. Spotty comedy guy that looks like he's trying to rip off Val Venis. Anyway, Bino is a good heel and has some solid moves, so he made this decent.
6. World Title- Ryan vs. Steen vs. Tornado
Early on Steen and Tornado beat the holy hell out of Ryan and pull some good moves on the wooden floor outside. The Steen-Ryan fued is set up well and I like how the match helped build it. WEAK ass finish made me mad, but it sets up a future show so it served it's purpose.
7. Tag Titles- Generico/Quicksilver vs. Super Dragon/B-Boy
Great clash of styles made this a "fun match of 07" for me. Long match that showed the striking of Dragon/B against the high flyers. Old school tag style match with a crazy offensive flurry at the end. Think of every single Dragon Gate match, only with an actual story or some pacing.
