Riley got this one down. I agree with all the analysis and predictions for the Finale. I'll be at a wedding Saturday but I'll sure be taping the finals.

I'm sure Rich Franklin will beat Shamrock(he is way to worn down), but I'm not competely sold on Riley's other predictions.
Bonnar and Diego are definately the favorites going in, but I don't think it will be a cake walk for either of them.
Forrest has some serious knock out power, and I don't think Bonnar is quite as good standing up. Though, on the ground, I'm sure Bonnar will have the advantage. That fight should kick ass. Definately the one I'm most looking forward to.
And in the Middleweight fight, while Diego is incredibally good, I don't see him defeating Kenny very easily. People tend to overlook Kenny. The reason Leben dominated Kenny most of the match was because Leben is a standup fighter, while Kenny really isn't. He has a blackbelt in Ju Jitsu, which should really help him on the mat with Diego. That should be an interesting fight, as I think people are really underestimating Kenny Florian's ability.

My predictions:
Diego over Kenny, 1st round, submission Bonner over Forrest, 2nd round, submission Franklin over Shamrock, decision
I'm not convinced Franklin can knock out Shamrock after watching Ortiz beat on him for an entire fight.

I watched it live with a couple of my friends as well and all I can say is...... WOW. That Griffin vs. Bonnar fight was unbelievable. Those two just beat the sh*t out of each other. In the first round, when Bonnar busted open Forrest, I was afraid it was going to be stopped. When it wasn't, I was going nuts. Great fight, and made even better by the fact that Forrest(who is from Columbus, Ohio, my home town) won. I missed Diego vs. Florian, but I heard it was a mauling. Glad to see Diego win, as he is a REALLY good fighter. Main event was good while it lasted. Shamrock almost beat Franklin early with that ankle lock, but Franklin escaped. Too bad Shamrock slipped on that kick, because it was looking like it would be a great fight. Good show overall. I'll be ordering the PPV next weekend.

I have to be quick with this post:
1) 1st , AWESOME Mitch Hedberg sig there Carnage. I totally love it and lovew the fact you have it.
As for the fights:
1) Diego won, dumb as nails, awesome fighter. Kenny was totally out-classed. I was off by 50 seconds as I told everyone watching with me it would only go two minutes.
2) AWESOME, AWESOME fight for Griffin and Bonner. One of the best fights ever. I so think that Bonner won that fight however. I had the same score (Sort of), but with Bonner winning. So awesome to see both get a contract. Waht a great fight.
3) Franklin SHOULD NOT have one that fight. Just like Kenny over Florian, sometimes you get lucky. If Ken didn't slip (twice), I think Ken would have won that fight. Oh well, maybe Ken will retire and go back to the WWE.

DAMN~! That was one hell of a night. Diego vs. Kenny pretty much went as expected, but Bonnar vs. Forrest was INCREDIBLE. I can't believe neither one of those two got knocked out because they rocked the hell out of eachother. I also didn't expect Shamrock to win, but not that early. Franklin did exactly what he should have done after Shamrock slipped and that was to not let him back up. Shamrock couldn't intelligently defend himself and Big John did the right thing by stopping it. Shamrock isn't anything more than an exhibition fighter and hasn't been for the last few years. Also, I'm just now checking Sherdog and here was the undercard we didn't see: TUF’s most controversial if not popular cast member Chris Leben (17-1-0) stopped Canada’s Jason Thacker (4-2-0) with strikes on the ground 1:35 of round one. Leben’s nemesis on the show, Josh Koscheck (5-0-0), manhandled Chris Sanford (5-1-0), winning by knockout 4:21 of the opening round after a heavy downward right from half-guard crashed into the middleweight’s chin. Fighting for the first time since being picked for TUF, Gresham, Oregon’s Nate Quarry (12-1-0), victim to a nasty ankle injury during training that ended his competition, stopped Lodune Sincaid (15-3-0) with strikes 3:17 of round one. Despite competing at light heavyweight during the taping of TUF, Mike Swick (7-1-0), who came up short against Stephan Bonnar in the semifinals, put his stamp on the middleweight division by putting the stamp on Alex Schoenauer (10-1-0), knocking the taller man out 20 seconds after the opening bell. Two men who were one-and-done on TUF fights battled to a quick finish in front of a still-filtering-in Cox Pavilion crowd when welterweight Alex Karalexis (5-0-0) stopped Josh Rafferty (7-4-0) at the 1:40 mark of round one. The final dark bout was also the under card’s longest, as Sam Hoger (5-0-0) outworked Bobby Southworth (8-4-0) to win a unanimous three-round decision. Judge Glenn Trowbridge had it 30-28, while Jeff Mullen and Tony Weaks scored it 29-28. Fully play by plays: www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=2646

I have to disagree here Shamrock is not the Shamrock of old he isn't nearly as good as he used to be, the old Shamrock would of rolled Franklin but now he's a has been (It pains me to say that, because I'm a huge fan) and needs to hang it up. More proof of this is when Ortiz kicked his ass and sure he was tough and took the beating but that fight shows more then this fight how much Shamrock has daminished. Frankilin would of beat him anyway Shamrock just happened to slip and cause it to happen sooner.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Franklin would have won anyway, he just won faster because of Shamrock's slip.
But I have to disagree with you Riley. Shamrock isn't any worse than he use to be. It's just the athletes today are MUCH better than they used to be.

That may be but there were very good fighters back in Shamrock's prime. Graice, Rutten, Ruas, etc. But ethier way Shamrock shouldn't be competing anymore.
