I taped this and saw it Sunday cause I wasn't home originally. GREAT GREAT F'N Fight with Bonner and Forrest. Best UFC fight I've ever seen, hands down. I had Bonner over Forrest by a point before the decision, and the crowd's small "bullsh*t" chant means I might have been right.
Thank God they both got contracts, and I love Diego. What a talented fighter. Here's to season 2!

There were some Forrest chants as well though. Seems the crowd was split. I personally thought Bonnar won as well, but was really happy to see Forrest(did I mention he is from Ohio?) win.
I can't wait for next season either. Welterweights are super fun to watch, but I'm kinda worried about the heavyweights. I've heard there aren't that many good heavyweights right now. I was under the impression that is why they didn't have heavyweights in Season 1, but in that case, have an influx of heavyweights suddenly appeared?

I watched the fight again carefuly for scoring and I agree with the judges. Forrest had rounds 1 and 3 and Bonnar easily had round 2.
As for Shamrock he's a better fighter than he was, but he's a completely different type of fighter. Royce Gracie may have been the man, but that same Gracie wouldn't win a single fight in today's UFC. UFC 1 was about martial art vs. martial art. It eventually involved into mixed martial arts. It's pretty much a completely different sport. Ken Shamrock now would completely own any fighter in 1995, but that's irrelevant.
Moving on, who is ordering the PPV on Saturday? I sure as hell am.

I'm ordering. Should be sweet. Besides the Couture vs. Liddell match, I'm really looking forward to Hughes vs. Trigg. Hopefully it goes longer than their last fight(which aired on FSN a few days ago.)

I'll definently be watching because I watch all the UFC shows and almost all the PRIDE shows (I don't always watch the Bushidos the normal shows however all the time) Anyway the show should be awesome no doubt how about some pick-ems:
Chuck Lidell def. Randy Couture by decision Matt Huges def. Frank Trigg by Ground & Pound George St. Pierre def. Jason Miller by KO Joe Doerksen def. Patrick Cote by decision John Marsh def. Mike Van Arsdale by KO Matt Lindland def. Travis Lutter by Ground & Pound Joe Riggs def. Ivan Salaverry by Submission Travis Wiuff def. Renato Sobral by KO

I pretty much agree with you pics except for these two changes:
Couture def Lidell via KO Patrick Cote def. Joe Doerksen by KO
I honestly don't think there's anbody that can beat Couture right now and for whatever reason I have a feeling that Cote is going over Doerksen. The whole card looks like this could be a great show.

I'm not ordering because I'm not familiar enough with UFC yet and how the PPV's come through and if they are worth it. Plus I only know the 2 main events, I don't know nor have ever seen any of the guys in the 7 undercard matches.
Any info would be good. I have a friend that wants me to buy this from him Monday morning for $5 and I might jump on it. Plus, anyone know the weekly/daily (whatever) timeslot for the UFC show on FSN and if it always shows new stuff? I swear I've seen Tito vs. Lidell like 20 times loi.

That is one of THE COOLEST pictures I've seen in awhile, Rick!!!!!!! Pure 100% badass.
Randy is to the UFC, what Angle is to the WWE. Just awesome.
I'd be interested to see how well a UFC type match in the WWE would go over (Something like a Puero strong style match). I still would like to see KEn Shamrock back in the WWE and have him go against Angle. Hell, maybe even let Puder be the next WWE Shamrock and have him be the strong-syle type.
Anywho, awesome Randy picture.

Man I totally forgot about Puder. I really don't think MMA style matches would go over well in WWE unless they were mostly stand up like Bonnar/Griffin. Even UFC fans tend to get bored when the matches go to the mat. Personally I love the mat aspect as I have ungodly amounts of repsect for guys that can get out of a mount, but most poeple don't find it too exciting. Shamrock would be a blast to have back if only for a short stint with Angle. As for the blood in that picutre, oh yeah, it's Vitor Belfort's

They have daily updates on the world of MMA, as well as bios, top fighters of certain weight classes, and other stuff. I'm sure the Couture vs. Liddell match alone will be worth 5 bucks(at least.) I'd hop on that deal in a second. And I have no idea of the exact FSN times, but I have read that they have a show every few months, right before an upcoming PPV. They put past fights of people who will be fighting on the upcoming PPV. The show FSN had on Sunday had Chuck Liddell vs. Vernon White, Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg for the Welterweight Title(their rematch is this Saturday), and Lee Murray(who was signed for Saturday's show, but is off now) vs. Jorge Rodriguez(think that was his name.) All of them were pretty good. Catch a replay of it sometime if you can. Usually they have replays at about midnight.

Along the lines of NewFnShow's post, www.sherdog.com is probably my favorite place for MMA news. They have tons of interviews, columns, pictures, videos, history, etc. You could spend all day watching video clips on there if you wanted to. And oh yeah, $5 is more than worth it for a tape. Hell, there's only one UFC event I can think of that isn't worth at least $5 and as of this moment we shall never speak of UFC 33 again.

Greatest picture ever. I remember the first time Belfort cut him with his thumb on the punch and then had the nerve to say that had it been a few inches over he would of KO'd him, then Randy pretty much murdered him. Yeah the best site for MMA news is probably www.sherdog.com

Couture's loss to Belfort was such a fluke. I'll give it to Belfort that yeah it takes a ton of skill to even get in the octagon and get close enough to Randy Couture's face with your fist, but the edge of his glove did all the work and cut his eye.
