Anybody else watch this after Raw? I really enjoyed it. Those were some BRUTAL looking workouts they had to do.
If you are at all a fan of MMA, you should check this out.

I only caught the last five minutes, but it looked really cool. I'll probably catch the replay whenever that is...

I caught the whole thing and thought it was awesome. I can't wait for somebody to choke/knock out that idiot who decided to urinate all over that guys bed. I don't understand how that Canadian guy can be doubting himself though. If anything you get to train with CHUCK LIDELL and RANDY COUTURE! People would kill for the chance to train with those guys.

Well he's gone now anyway. It's a sweet show for sure I'd love to go through a workout like that. I don't have enough equipment however to do most of the stuff I need to get myself a punching bag.

I caught the last two episodes and enjoyed them enough to decide to watch the rest of the series.
This seems to be what "The Next Great Champ" was trying to be. I had big problems with TNGC because they didn't even care enough about boxing to show the fights in their entirety. They were only three three minute rounds. At most, that would take up 11 minutes of air time.

Just to update, I've watched every episode so far, and I'm diggin' it.
Hopefully Chris kicks Josh's ass on the next show(and I have no doubt he will.)

Little late with my insights but yeah, I have a feeling Chris is going to beat the crap out of Josh. I can't believe I'm actually taking Chris' side on this issue as he's clearly the biggest ass hole in the entire house, but they DID provoke him when he tried to seperate himself from the house. I guess we'll see if he can back up everything he's said.

Chris vs. Josh proved something once again you need to have ground skills. Strictly Striker vs. Strictly Grappler, the grappler wins almost everytime. If your not going to be well rounded and your only going to learn one style make it some sort of grappling exspeaicly BJJ.

I'm pissed. The fucking most entertaining guy on the show was eliminated last night. Chris was money in the bank for UFC. He's got the charisma, the arrogance, and the knockout power to be big for UFC. I would not be at ALL suprised if UFC signed him anyone. Hopefully they do.
And that fight SUCKED. Josh is a pussy. I have no problem with him using the takedown strategy, but he did NOTHING after taking Chris down. He just sat their. Why the hell did it take over 3 minutes for the ref to decide that Josh wasn't doing anything on the mat? He should have stood them up after a minute.
Oh well, I'll still watch the show next week, but I'm pissed that Chris is gone(and I wouldn't be suprised to see the ratings drop next week.)

Josh wasn't doing anything because Chris wasn't allowing him to it was good defense by Chris in not allowing Josh to better his position or hit. The ref didn't stand them up very quickly and therefore Josh won, the decision was correct from were I sit and Josh's strategy was a good one, image if he could of better his position then it would of been over quick. hopefully the UFC does sign Chris anyway and hopefully he has better take down defense or a better ground game when/if they do.

I didn't think his take down defense was to bad. In fact, he evaded a few take downs. Then he started getting impatient and Josh too him down easily when Chris went for the big punch.
And Josh wasn't doing anything imo. He didn't even try to throw any punches. He didn't go for ONE submission. Chris went for and armlock and a key lock, and was delivering some nice shots while Josh had him grounded. There's no way Josh should have won that second round. A third round should have happened.
Oh well, now it looks like Diego will be winning the whole thing for the Middleweights. As long as Josh doesn't get the Middleweight contract, I'll be a happy man.

I so agree with NF'nS here. Josh did have a good enough stratigy to win, and ti worked like a charm, but that wasn't UFC. Thsi was the biggest hyped match, everyone was pumped and this is what we got. Granted fights are scrpted, the show before provides that, but UFC really dropped the ball. For the sake of viewers and interst in UFC, the should have gave a 3rd round. Yes, Josh did win round 1 and 2, but it toally sucked. It was like Tyson/Lewis, but longer and worse. Even if Josh still would have won, it would have at least given the oportunity for a little action. The ball has been dropped.
On a personal level, I too was big time behind Chris. I actually felt me heart pumping at the beginning of the match. Man, I REALLY want to see Josh and Bobby get dropped. Especially Josh. Chirs talked so much trash and the show painted Josh and Bobby out to be such d!ckheads, that I was totally pumped for Chris to drop him. Too bad it was all talk.
Then to top it off, we see that next week another guy is going to have to jump ship and another fight ends in a draw. NOT good TV. I too would not be surprised to see ratings drop (Especially with Nate hurt). Why have trades? Wouldn't it make for better TV to have a team consistanly having to have guys fight, even several times, to promote the warrior side of UFC? Dana has the money to add in for a guy having the opportunity to make double, if not triple, the money for each fight. Also, it would still make good TN to see two guys from the same team have to jump in the ring. It's called drama. You figure, they're hyping Randy vs. Chuck, so why not have the winning team have their members go at it once one team has been eliminated?
I'm still on the opnion that last week's show may have been the shark jumper.

Sorry that I'm a little late to the convo, but the judge's decision is absolutely true. Josh scored some big points on those takedowns and Chris mounted very little offense. Yes I wanted him to knock Josh's teeth out, but hey, he didn't do anything productive in those 10 minutes. I mean come on, he's part of Cotures Team Quest here in Oregon. The guy should know how to deal with a wrestler. I wouldn't be surprised to see these two go at it on a UFC PPV in the near future.

It's possible. Where do they go from here? The big money match was a total disappointment. It's a reality show, so what can you do?
